with his blanket. Linus Van Pelt is one of the smartest of the Peanuts Gang. He amazes his friends with his philosophies and advice, especially to Charlie Brown. He is very smart, even though he carries a "security blanket", and sucks his thumb. Lucy tries to get him to stop carrying it around. Linus is loved by Charlie Brown's little sister, Sally, who often calls him her "sweet baboo".
